you know this is on repeat alllll day since it’s rainies in austin. i hope this is a sign that autumn is nearing. i need that cool, crisp air more than you know. i want to spend my days on a comfy chair wrapped in blankets consuming every book in my path while the breeze breathes through the trees and into the depths of my soul. this song on playing endlessly and just slightly audible would make it all the more perfect. can you imagine it intertwining with the winds of autumn. it’d be barely, ever so lightly washing over you. how beautiful would that be?

I got to tell you, I hate little junior sidekicks, you know. There is no way I would of called him Spider-Boy…I used to think, if ever I was a Superhero there’s no way on God’s earth I would pal around with a teenager. At the very least, people would talk.

Ol’ Fred had been a faithful Christian and was in the hospital, near death. The family called their preacher to stand with them. As the preacher stood next to the bed, Ol’ Fred’s condition appeared to deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something to write on.
The pastor lovingly handed him a pen and a piece of paper, and Ol’ Fred used his last bit of energy to scribble a note, then he died. The preacher thought it best not to look at the note at the time, so he placed it in his jacket pocket.
At the funeral, as he was finishing the message, he realized that he was wearing the same jacket that he was wearing when Ol’ Fred died. He said,
“You know, Ol’ Fred handed me a note just before he died. I haven’t looked at it, but knowing Fred, I’m sure there’s a word of inspiration there for us all.”
He opened the note, and read,
“Hey, you’re standing on my oxygen tube!”
